Are you passionate about improving student engagement and the life chances of young people?
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and proactive Student Engagement Co-ordinator who will implement a range of activities and interventions to enable our students to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. This role would suit a new graduate who may be considering teaching as it could provide a great stepping stone into teaching via the school direct route.
- Reports To: Assistant Headteacher
- Hours: 36 hours per week, term time + 5 days (39 weeks)
- Salary: Grade 6, SCP 11 – 17 (£21,748 - £24,491 pro rata)
- Start Date: As soon as possible
About the role
The Student Engagement Co-ordinator’s role will operate at two levels. Firstly, from a whole school perspective, you will be responsible for co-ordinating an inspiring careers programme, facilitating all educational trips and organising an exciting extracurricular programme.
Secondly, by analysing data and working alongside pastoral staff and the senior leadership team, you will identify and implement interventions at an individual student level to drive academic success.
Whilst strong planning and organisational skills will be important, the success of this role depends on strong communication skills and the ability to form excellent working relationships – whether this be with other staff, students or third parties. We need someone who is proactive, enthusiastic and loves to make a difference. Our students often come from disadvantaged backgrounds and this pivotal role is ideal for someone who is ambitious and always looking to create opportunities that set our students up for success.
