Students take part in photography project for young artists
17 May 2016
The SLiCE project includes a series of workshops involving different artists teaching the students how to use digital technology to create artistic photographs and develop them into a photo story.
Three other Wirral Schools are part of the project and have been involved in two of the four workshops so far, covering how to make a photographic print in a traditional black and white darkroom followed by body sculpture, where the students made sculptures of their own body and then photographed them.
The next two workshops later this month will look at digital manipulation and how to create a digital publication.
At the end of the project a video will be produced showing the work achieved and will be screened at the gallery as well as uploaded onto social media.
