The evening consisted of different performances chosen, choreographed and performed by teachers and pupils from each of the primary schools. This included an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed dance and a ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ style performance.

The Love to Dance festivall has found a new venue from which to exhibit the performances. The technical facilities on offer in the hall and the size and suitability of the room and stage, plus being in a central location to all of the primary schools taking part, meant The Birkenhead Park School was the perfect choice in which to showcase pupils’ talents.

Mrs Houghton, Associate Assistant Headteacher at The Birkenhead Park School, said: “The evening was a great success with amazing feedback from all those involved. The pupils worked well together as a team and really encouraged and supported each other whilst performing - they were all a real pleasure to work with. The teachers enjoyed working with our year 7 student compares and the evening was very successful and professional thanks to the technical lighting and sound and the dedication of all students and staff involved.”

Speaking after the show, Mr Brady, Headteacher at Bidston Avenue Primary School, said: “Thank you to staff and students at The Birkenhead Park School for hosting the evening. They all did a fantastic job of looking after pupils and guests and we look forward to another successful event in 2018.”

After the great feedback from this year’s event, students and teachers are looking forward to welcoming back the Love to Dance Festival next year.
