Building resilience with young people is extremely important whether for academic reasons or beyond the classroom.

We are dedicated to helping students build resilience, become independent learners and help them to enjoy success. Therefore we encourage every student in Year 7, 8 & 9 to take part in our BPS University.

Students who sign up are given 5 academic challenges to complete independently throughout the year. Each stage completed is a step closer to graduating at the end of the year.

After three years students successfully graduate form the BPS key stage 3 University in their cap and gown.

Over 100 students took part in 2025. We are incredibly proud of the students that are ambitious and want to challenge themselves!
