The Birkenhead Park School hosted its ‘What Next?’ Careers Fair on Friday 17th November to allow students the opportunity to receive independent advice and guidance on their future career options and opportunities from a host of external organisations.

Students were able to meet with a variety of career representatives about a range of sectors, including careers within construction and engineering, media and graphic design, retail and many more. There was also the opportunity to attend careers talks from Birkenhead Sixth Form College, Liverpool John Moores University, LIPA, and more post-GCSE education providers.

Year 9 student, Sophie, said: “The Careers Fair was a great opportunity to meet professionals from a wide range of career choices and further education providers who could give specialist information on what I was interested in and what the next stage for my career plan should be.”

The event, organised by Achievement Mentor, Greg Lodge, had a great turnout and Mr Lodge said: “I’m very proud of our students for really getting the most out of this Careers Fair. They asked all the right questions and we received glowing feedback, praising their maturity and ambition. It’s very important that our students know exactly what’s available out there for when they leave school and this was the perfect opportunity for them to do so.”
