The Birkenhead Park School’s final year students are celebrating getting their GCSE results today as they move on from their high school experience to the next exciting steps in life.

The out-going Year 11 cohort have reached the culmination of their five year journey with us with the hard work that they’ve put in being rewarded with qualifications that will see them go on to sixth form college, apprenticeships and a range of other career paths.

The Year 11 students came in their numbers to collect their results this morning, and received a warm welcome from their teachers and support staff as they made their final farewells.

There was even a complimentary ice cream van offering treats to students (and their parents!) to help with celebrating.

The popular choice for the majority of The Birkenhead Park School students is to carry on their academic journeys at our partners Birkenhead Sixth Form College, taking A Levels and Advanced Level qualifications.

Among them are Joel, Kimberley, Riley, Alexandru and Ella – beginning their sixth form study choosing subjects such as Politics, Maths, Computer Science, Biology and more.

Alexandru was celebrating his GCSE grade 9 at Spanish, which is the highest grade possible.

Ella wants to study Zoology at university, so is combining her love for Biology with taking A Levels in Chemistry and Psychology.

Headteacher, Helen Johnson, said: “It’s been so pleasing to see so many happy faces in today collecting their results. We’re extremely proud of this entire cohort of students and wish them every success in the future. Each of them is welcome back anytime to let us know how they’re doing.”
