From Football to Film: New clubs signal a school on the up

It has been an inspiring start to the year at The Birkenhead Park School, as the launch of a packed programme of clubs shows how the school is continuing its rapid journey of transformation. From football to film, computing to crochet, and drama to Duolingo, students now have more opportunities than ever before to discover new passions, build confidence, and be part of a thriving school community.

The very first day of term saw our Year 7 and 8 students enjoying a Freshers Fair, where they explored and signed up for the wide range of activities on offer. This event gave our new Year 7s a warm welcome and a taste of the vibrant, supportive culture that is becoming a hallmark of life at BPS.

This week, the clubs officially launched — and the excitement is clear to see. Students across every year group are already getting involved, proving that these opportunities are helping to make school life richer, more rewarding, and more enjoyable than ever before.

Beyond the fun, the clubs are designed to develop important qualities such as teamwork, leadership, creativity, and resilience — all of which will help students thrive not just in school, but also in life beyond the classroom.
