This year the Christmas Show was Snow White - the sequel - and was the culmination of a term's enrichment activity within the school's Performing Arts faculty.  Students performed the show on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th December with two matinee and two evening performances.

The panto included acting, dance and musical performances from the cast who were made up of students from all year groups.  Year 11 dance students used the showcase event as their unit 1 GCSE Performing Arts exam showcase and many of the cast were Year 7 students who had not had the opportunity to perform on a large stage before.  All of the students had a great time showcasing their performing abilities and developing in confidence.

Sophie, Year 7 student, commented "I have really enjoyed the experience of performing as the wicked ex-queen Elvira and being the lead in the panto.  I am only in Year 7 and can't wait for the opportunity to perform again. I enjoyed the costumes, hair and make-up that turned me into my character".

Members of the school Singing Club performed two songs within the show and had carefully selected these to accompany the storyline of the show.

Daniel, Year 11 student, commented "I have really enjoyed the primary school performances, the children responded really well and enjoyed joining in when we asked them to!".

Parents and students attended the event over the two days as well as over 400 students from local primary schools who thoroughly enjoyed the event with many asking whether they could see it again!
