Students and staff at The Birkenhead Park School are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results, marking another important milestone in the school's remarkable transformation.

Year 11 students arrived at school this morning to collect their results and celebrate the culmination of five years of hard work, determination and commitment.
This year's results build on significant progress in recent years and follow the school's best-ever GCSE performance in 2025, providing further evidence of sustained improvement across the school.

Headteacher Mrs Dawes said:
"Results Day is always incredibly special because behind every grade is a young person who has worked hard, overcome challenges and taken another step towards their future.
"I am immensely proud of our Year 11 students and everything they have achieved. They have shown determination, resilience and ambition, and today is about celebrating them and the opportunities their results will now open up.

"The Birkenhead Park School has been transformed, but our ambition has not changed. We want every young person who comes through our doors to believe they can achieve more than they ever thought possible. These results demonstrate what can happen when students experience excellent teaching, high expectations and staff who genuinely believe in them.
"I would also like to thank our staff for their extraordinary commitment and our parents and families for everything they have done to support our students."

Among those celebrating was Mark, who achieved an exceptional six grade 9s and four grade 8s. He will progress to Birkenhead Sixth Form College to study Politics, Geography and Maths, with ambitions to work in politics in the future.
Mark said: "I've had a good time at BPS! I also enjoyed Saturday School. It was very accessible and helped me get great grades."

Daniel also celebrated outstanding results, including grade 9s, and will progress to Birkenhead Sixth Form College to study Maths and Further Maths.
Daniel said: "I genuinely can't believe it. I'm over the moon. It has been amazing at BPS, the best time of my life."

The school's transformation extends far beyond examination results. High expectations for attendance and behaviour, high-quality teaching and strong, positive relationships between staff and students have created a calm and purposeful environment in which young people can thrive.

Students also benefit from extensive enrichment, educational visits, careers education and leadership opportunities designed to broaden horizons, build confidence and raise aspirations.

The range of destinations and ambitions among this year's Year 11 students reflects that approach.

Former Head Boy Kalieb will progress to Birkenhead Sixth Form College, where he will study History, Politics and RE. He has set his sights high, with an ambition to become Prime Minister one day.

Angel will also continue her studies at Birkenhead Sixth Form College and had some advice for the younger students following in her footsteps.
She said: "I've really enjoyed my time at The Birkenhead Park School. To younger students, I would say work hard and stay determined!"

Mrs Dawes added:
"The greatest thing we can give a young person is belief in what they are capable of. Today, our students leave us knowing that their future is full of possibilities. We couldn't be prouder of them."

The Birkenhead Park School remains ambitious for the future, with a clear commitment to providing every student with an exceptional education and the opportunities, confidence and character they need to succeed.
